Type Of Stones

Stone Categories We Provide

Granite

Granite is an igneous rock composed primarily of quartz and feldspar, with accessory minerals such as mica, apatite, zircon, garnet, and tourmaline. It is typically coarse-grained and light in color.

In commercial practice, several other stones—such as basalt, gabbro, and porphyry—are also marketed as “granite” due to their similar characteristics. These stones range from light to dark in color, vary from coarse to fine grain, exhibit a high polished gloss, and have a hardness of 6 to 7 on the Mohs scale.

Marble

Marble is a metamorphic rock formed by the recrystallization of limestone or calcite. It has a hardness of 3 to 4 on Moh’s Scale and is generally white in colour. Commercially, many coloured stones such as calc-silicate, dolomite, and serpentine rocks are also marketed as marble due to their attractive appearance, good polishability, and similar hardness range (3 to 4 on Moh’s Scale).

Dimensional Limestone

Dimensional limestone is a sedimentary rock consisting primarily of carbonates and often contains a significant percentage of silica, which contributes to its hardness and ability to take a polish. The two most important mineral constituents are calcite and dolomite. Limestone is generally a fine-grained rock and is available in a variety of colours and shades.

Sandstone

Sandstone is a sedimentary rock composed mainly of small grains of quartz, along with clayey and other accessory materials. These grains are cemented together by silica, iron oxide, or calcium carbonate, which determine its colour, shade, and texture. Sandstone typically displays a wide variety of colours and patterns depending on the type of bonding material present.

Slate & Schist

It is a metamorphic rock formed due to low-grade regional metamorphism and is composed of finely divided micaceous minerals, including chlorite, along with subordinate amounts of quartz and feldspar. The minerals are flattened and elongated along the cleavage plane, and schistosity is often well developed. As a result, the rock splits easily along these planes. Depending on the dominant mineral present, it is classified into varieties such as mica schist, chlorite schist, sericite schist, quartz–biotite schist, etc.

Quartzite

It is a metamorphic rock formed due to thermal metamorphism of sandstone. The presence of impurities in the original rock, along with the development of minerals such as chlorite and biotite, contributes to the metamorphic process. It is generally a fine-grained, white to light-coloured rock, but the presence of various impurities can produce different colours, shades, and textures.

what we do

Our Process: Bringing Your Vision to Life

01

Consultation and Planning

Every successful project begins with a detailed consultation. We meet with clients to understand their needs, expectations, and budget. Based on this information, we create a detailed plan that includes design, materials, and timelines.

02

Design and Approval

Once the planning phase is complete, we move on to the design stage. Our team creates detailed drawings and 3D models of the statue, temple, or heritage structure. We involve the client at every step to ensure that the design aligns with their vision and gets final approval before moving forward.

03

Construction and Crafting

After the design is approved, our craftsmen and construction team begin the work. Whether it’s carving intricate details in stone or constructing a temple foundation, we use the best materials and techniques to bring the design to life.

04

Final Inspection and Delivery

Once the project is completed, we conduct a thorough inspection to ensure that everything meets our high standards. Only after receiving final approval from the client do we consider the project finished. We ensure the smooth delivery of the finished work to its final destination.
